Rekha's enthusiasic clapping looks strange. But it would look even odd, if it is for Amitabh (when she is with Jaya). I don't think, anyone will make it so obvious.

Hence I felt, some other thing should have been the subject of their discussion. Nearest guess was BM (as Rekha had aprreciated the movie before and Ranveer was on stage).

Even if my whole theory is wrong, can someone tell me, where was Rekha when Ranveer greeted Jaya?

Ok either way... Whether Rekha was clapping for Ranveer or Amitabh... Or even if it didn't happen at that exact time... I find the friendliness between Jaya and Rekha to be odd, knowing the history isn't that weird ? it is surely very weird and odd!

I watched the video again. When these two ladies are hugging, Deepika on their side is requesting someone to take her trophies, gets her iPhone to record the things on stage. This, she actually does it while Ranveer is on stage.

If it is edited just for ratings, I would call it as a cheap trick.

Agree it looks odd, specially when Amitabh, Rekha does not even acknowledge each other as colleagues. But media's obsession of showing both these ladies together go OTT.

I remember another video (It must be in YouTube). When Rekha was taking oath in Rajyasabha, they focused on Jaya. (She was looking uncomfortable). Later she complained about it. After the news, I watched her video. From her reaction, I felt someone sitting close to her had farted! (Sorry, that's how her reaction was). But media was having a close up shot of her, because Rekha was taking the oath !!

Who knows for what reason Rekha went to Jaya and was clapping with excitement. She definetely went there after Ranveer was on stage because DP had her phone in her hand. Its poor editing they showed a similar scene even at the begining of the show. Like the actors said its not an award function anymore its a TV show so they need create some drama.
