I don't know about you, but it's very surprising to me that in all these years, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone haven't once come together for a film - they'd make for quite the on-screen pair, don't you think? There have been reports on and off for a while that they'll be coming together, but nothing has materialised as of yet. And now, there are even more rumours doing the rounds, but these, too, are unconfirmed. Here's what's going down:
As you probably already know, Shahid is going to be starring in Vishal Bhardwajs upcoming film, Rangoon, which also stars Saif Ali Khan. And Kangana Ranaut was announced as the female lead a while ago. However, reports doing the rounds now suggest that the actress is no longer a part of the film for reasons unknown, which is why VB is looking for a replacement - and it seems that he's keen on signing on Deepika Padukone, who he apparently earlier had in mind for the role as well. Sad news, if this is true, because while we'd like to see Shahid and Deepika together, we were really looking forward to seeing Kangana in Rangoon.
