Challenge is to prove myself even without Salman: Jacqueline Fernandez

Mumbai: Jacqueline Fernandez is on a roll with big budget films like Brothers', Bangistan' and Dishoom' in her kitty that are up for release this year. The actress recently returned from Morocco where she was shooting for Rohit Dhawan's film Dishoom' with John Abraham and Varun Dhawan.

While Salman Khan may have kicked' her out of the sequel of Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick', Jacky on the contrary feels Kick' has been a life changing film for her. "After Kick' I have shot for seven films back to back so that has been really cool. Even I was in shock thinking about what just happened. This is the busiest I have ever been. I owe a lot to Salman Khan and I owe a lot to Sajid Nadiadwala because for them it was just about casting someone but I don't even know they have realised how this has changed my life."

She even revealed how mammoth of a task is it for her to prove her mettle now that she doesn't have a Salman film. "The challenge actually came after I shot for the film. The hard part was after Kick' as you really have to stand up and prove that you have it in you even if there's no Salman. You can do the right movies as good offers come your way. Now it becomes quite challenging as it is the test of what I can do."

The actress will soon be seen playing a mom for the first time on celluloid. This may not have been an easy role to say yes to, however, Jacky admits it's one of those roles she wanted to do. "There are many actresses who say that they would love to do a de-glam role but when the time comes they choose not to. This time I thought I don't want to be one of those."

When asked what her mom's reaction was to her playing a mom at such young age, she said, "Oh she cried! Whenever my mom sees me performing on-screen she cries. I told her to watch this song called Sapna Jahan and when she saw it she message me back saying oh my god I have cried so much. It's so sweet and you are playing a mom oh my goodness'. She has a tendency to cry when I am crying on-screen. I don't know how she will react when she watches the film. She's going to watch Bangistan' now, luckily they didn't ban it there (chuckles) and she will watch Brothers' next week."

However, she claims that one of the best schedules she has ever shot for was when she was kept in complete isolation when shooting in Morocco. No, it was not with Salman Khan but with John Abraham and Varun Dhawan. "It was the most fun and craziest schedule I have ever been on. We were shooting a lot of action and John was always full of stories and humour and he kept giving us tips on fitness. We were shooting in a place that was so isolated that all we had was a hotel and all we had in the hotel was a gym so all the time we used to work out or go shoot. So mostly we used to hangout in the gym and discuss about workouts and protein shakes."

"Be careful around Varun and keep your phones safe. He takes peoples phone. He posted pictures on my page as if I am in love with him (chuckles) but I had a lot of fun shopping with him."
