even i liked tamanna in telugu after illeana but when it comes to bollywood both are failing to impress bolly audience to get movies...atleast tammu is choosing wrong films but what abt illeana ,who received critical acclaims for barfi ..but still a struggling star..😕

yeh but in bollywood your debut film kind of makes or breaks you...have only seen some starkids get 2nd chances after a failed debut e.g. shradha, sonam, ranbir, so in that sense tamannah was quite lucky to get several more films after himmatwala but unfortunately they were all bad, maybe she shud have waited for a good one.

kangana's flops u mentioned were after she had established herself...she started off well with woh lamhe n gangster...n won best debut.

Agree completely. Telugu stars a bit more understated in their interviews unlike bollywood where people like to compensate by making big W*F statements.

She just hasn't found a good role yet in bollywood.

It is not just her. There is also Asin, Shriya, etc. Ileana's biggest mistake was that she gave interviews to Telugu dailies after Barfi!'s success that she will be concentrating on Hindi movies for now, which made Telugu producers offer roles to other actresses instead of Ileana. She did get a solo film with Shahid after that but it bombed. And that was it.

Best is Kajal, the way she handled BW career. She had a hit here with Singham, but she continued working in South India as well.

I was only talking about her acting/screen presence.

Yes she was lucky to land big Hindi films but she only got it after becoming a star down south. So technically she was not a complete newbie.
