You know actually MTV Indies has been pretty revolutionary in a way. A lot of musicians are getting exposure. And yes a lot of fusion music too.

This is a song by Srinath Ramalingam. The song is in tamil and it has a kind of spiritual/self discovery kind of lyrics. With every line ending with 'Om Namah Shivaye'. But with pretty much western beats. Has an amazing ring to it.

P.S : Tamil songs always give me an eargasm. Such a beautiful sounding language! ( I dont understand tamil :P)

Karsh Kale is easily at the top of my list. Clinton Cerejo is good too,but I think he doesn't experiment as much.

Btw speaking of coke studio,I totally forgot Karsh's "Kajar bina kare". It tops my coke studio favourites 😆 Funny I forgot this one. It was sung by salim merchant.

The variations in that song is INSANE ❤️ and Karsh on tabla is like chocolate pudding (irresistible 😆)

Sigh. As if I dunno the answer to that question. Only a small number of musicians ever get the limelight in this country mostly due to luck and ofcourse bollywood. But with all the Yo Yo's and chikni chamels,munni's et al , I have lost all hope 🤢

P.S : This Puri guy even looks smokin'. Could be a moviestar actually. Somebody make this guy famous already ! 😆

Man! This song is Terrific in every sense. Each and every musical instrument shines and how?! The flute to the drums to the piano to the guitar, the show-stopper is definitely the Sarangi player. What beauty man! Sheer talent on display. I'm literally in heaven right now. 😆

And you are right, Karsh on tabla is simply love! The way he plays it is so amazing! Thank you for sharing, I think I'm gonna obsess over this beautiful piece for a while now. 😆

I was just listening to Atif Aslam's Dholna on coke studio Pak. It has a soothingly haunting feel to it,if that even makes sense. Haha.
