"Sultan" will be releasing on Eid next year and the lead actress for the film is yet to be finalised.

Any news on lead actress?

I do not believe that any A list actress will add value to this movie. I am sure Salman knows what is good for a movie and I trust his instincts. Sonam proved to be pretty decent in PRDP and I did not expect that😆

Deepika's name is doing rounds.
Salman doesn't need Deepika to make this a hit. Deepika needs this movie after Tamasha poor show and BM has to compete with Dilwale, so she needs a solid hit movie in her kitty to maintain her status at Boxoffice.

Two of the most hottest stars from Bollywood are gearing up for the first time to star in a movie together. If reports are true, after the release of Bajirao Mastani, Deepika Padukone is going to team up with Salman Khan for Ali Abbas Zafar's action drama film, Sultan.

It is not the first time that Padukone has been offered a chance to star with Khan. She was the first choice to star with him in the recently released Sooraj Barjatya family drama film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. According to Bollywood Hungama, Padukone said no to both of the projects due to date issues but later she confessed that she did not like her role in either of the projects.

Now the media has reported that she may have finally agreed to star along with Khan in Sultan. According to Asian Age, there were reports that the film will have two leading ladies but refuting the rumors, a source close to the film project says that there is only one heroine in the film and she has a spirited and sassy character.

"Deepika is most likely to play the role," confirms the source.

Meanwhile, the 50-year-old actor is riding high with the success of his recently released Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which earned 30 million dollars in just 9 days, IBN Live reported.
