Earlier we had reported that Arjun Kapoor, after the Tevar debacle and the 'Roast' controversy, signed a film with none other than R. Balki. And now, he has a leading lady in the film and it is the very gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The actress, who is wrapping up Bajrangi Bhaijaan and has also signed Rajkumar Gupta's next, is paired opposite this Kapoor lad for the first time. Also, Arjun Kapoor, who is known for his intense roles, will be experimenting with the romantic-comedy genre for the first time. Though the details of the plot are still under wraps, we hear that the film is based in North India and will go on floor in July this year. Apparently, the makers are looking for a release date in 2016.

On the other hand, our beloved Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was shooting in Kashmir for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was in awe of the place and the people. In order to reciprocate the warmth that she received from the residents of the valley, the actress has decided to gift the ethnic outfits used in the film to her Kashmiri fans.

Arjun, 30, who is the son of producer-director Boney Kapoor and his former wife Mona, says enjoys the attention that comes with being a celebrity.

"I have worked hard for this attention and if I will get afraid of it then what's the point. People, who say 'I don't like the attention', are liars. In our profession, we work hard to get love and acclaim and if you start saying that you don't like it, it doesn't make sense," Arjun told PTI. The "Tevar" actor, who enjoys a great fan following, said he loves connecting with his admirers. "I know how to deal with it. Some people can't deal with it and that might be the reason why they don't enjoy it. It is unfair for me comment on anyone else, but I love this attention and like connecting with fans," he said Arjun, however, agrees that he now thinks twice before making a public appearance.


"The world has not changed for me. It's just that now I have to think a bit more before going out," he said. The actor, who has done six movies in his three-year-old career, was on a small break after his last box-office outing "Tevar" released in January. He will soon start working on "Shamitabh" director R Balki's film. "My next is R Balki's film opposite Kareena (Kapoor Khan). I will start the work on the project by the end of this month. It's an urban romantic film and I am very thrilled to team up with Balki and Kareena. They are the two people I always wanted to work with," said the "Gunday" actor.

Arjun, who was in Delhi as the new face of Hero Cycles, feels that cycling has helped him a lot in becoming fit and that is why he chose to endorse the brand. "I would love to go to Kerala or Goa or probably choose some Delhi roads for a ride as Mumbai may not be a good place for me to go for a cycle ride."

Kareena Kapoor Khan is gearing up for R. Balki's new film by growing her hair long for the venture. The actress has reportedly said that she is currently in the process of cultivating long tresses and is resisting going in for a fashionable haircut or even a trim since she wants her hair to be as long as possible by August which is when the film rolls.

The actress will be seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in the yet untitled film. As per the buzz, the film is a rom-com, and will have Kareena playing a career-oriented wife while her spouse, played by Arjun, will essay a 'house husband'.

Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in R. Balki's untitled film, in which she will play a career-oriented wife and the actress claims that she gave the nod to the film without even hearing the script completely.

Talking about the role, Kareena said that as she herself is an independent career woman, she was quite excited about playing the role and when Balki started to narrate the script to her, Bebo, as she is known, told him that she doesn't want to hear the script completely as she has already decided to do it. Kareena added that she is a big fan of Balki and loves his films.

Kareena will romance Arjun Kapoor for the very first time in this light-hearted rom-com.

Interestingly, you will be seen romancing Arjun Kapoor in R Balki's next. Tell us something about that.

Yes that's one film I am really looking forward to. I am proud to say that I had played Anil Kapoor's wife in Bewafa and now, I will romance his nephew Arjun. So that's quite interesting. It shows that I have had the career spanning two generations. (Laughs) It's a damn interesting role and one that people will remember for years the way they remember me for Geet in Jab We Met.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has got exciting projects coming up. While her super-starry project Bajrangi Bhaijaan opposite Salman Khan is set to hit the screens on July 17. She'll soon also begin shooting for her next venture with Arjun Kapoor, where the two are supposedly playing husband and wife. This R Balki film is the same film which is also suspected to bring back Amitabh Bachchan in one of the prominent roles. Well, with such an impressive casting coup put to show, it can now be confirmed that this untitled film is officially set to go on floors by this month-end. Yes!

Now its left to see if Kareena too will begin shooting for the film around the same time or no. Considering she'll be done with most of the promotions for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, July-end looks free. Also,we have been told that its a 30-day schedule that requires both Arjun and Bebo to be together!
