Saw it and absolutely loved it!!

Far exceeded my expectations. Easily the best dance film that's come out of India and omg what amazing visuals. Choreography is top-notch absolutely international level!!

Varun is superb. Not being biased but he was honestly on par with the professional dancers. He acted so great too. So much honesty and integrity in his performances, you can just feel it. Such ease, charm, sparkling screen presence. Amazing that he went from Badlapur to this, can't tell it's the same actor, what a contrast. And he looked so incredibly amazing

My friends have now officially jumped from team Sid to team Varun! Trust me i had nothing to do with it 😆

The boys Dharmesh, Raghav, Punit, Sushant all fantastic, both dance and acting. Prabhudeva, man his dancing is on some other level. Shraddha clearly has worked hard for this film and the effort shows. I still have a problem with her expressions, delivery etc but she was endearing and looked oh-so pretty. Lauren was a nice touch and what a dancer she is, so impressive 👍🏼

Overall the storyline is simple but effective, a lot of fun comic moments. Screenplay a little sketchy at times but the screenplay writer is the same who wrote for Ek Villain so i wasn't expecting better.

OMG that climax!! Superb heart was in my mouth and jaw probably on the ground! Atmosphere in the theatre completely changed it was really something special! I don't have words to describe how brilliant the last two dance sequences were, just out of this world.

To sum up. The makers promised a full on dance film, a visual spectacle, choreography and effects of an international standard and boy did they deliver exactly that. Great entertaining film not to be missed for sure. It's a must see in the theatre!! 😊

Just came back from this film... disappointed... itna dance daal rakha hai ismein ke sar dukhne lag gaya... yeh Dance film nahi, DID ko 70 mm screen pe dikha diya hai... hardly anything else in film...

watched Abcd on TV, liked it so much that thought to watch this in hall... except for Shraddha, Lauran & Raghav's comic 4 lines... this film has nothing to offer... that dance which is shown so much in excess in this film we have seen repeatedly on DID/ Dance shows... wohi utha ke hard 1 line ke baad sidha dance... 1st half has i guess 10 min dialogues, rest all dance...

Varun being a good dancer don't know why accepted this role... there was nothing HERO kind of thing in his character, there were 4 funny dialogues for Raghav which was side character, while he has just boring character...

1 thing will give this kid for sure that show was almost 70% houseful, 1st time seeing this kind of rush for his film... now that was for him, for dance or whatever reason...

Film is hit, but not worth my money, could have downloaded and watched it offline

Just came back watching it and I'm very disappointed
The movie is really bad..People are breaking into dance every 2 minutes, no story no dialog, bad acting- actually there's no scope of acting..its only dancing..
I've to admit dance numbers are pretty good, sometime extravagant but its like a hiphop documentary..After some point its annoying to see soo much dancing..I went to watch a movie not DID !!!
I dont know why Varun and Shraddha getting soo much praise for their ACTING..They have danced really really well but acting wise it was just ok..When they cheated and disgraced I never felt their pain..Everyone is shouting like cheater cheater and they just stand and look at each other..then next moment they break into dance..actually they dance when they are happy, sad, feeling loved..you name one emotion and you will get a hiphop number
Anyway kid or college student or dance lover may like it but honestly I felt my time and money wasted

So about last night...

I want to start with negatives first so I can gush through the rest of the review and end on a good note lol. Okay so, the length. That's one of the main problems - don't get me wrong - I loved seeing all the other teams dancing and I guess Remo wanted to display all of that in a single movie but they could've made it more crisp. Although it was good dancing, It was getting pretty tedious 🥱 The dialogues - I didn't like some of them. I thought they could've been better but the dance made up for it. Also they should've explained why they cheated... since that phrase was used throughout the film.. Prabhudeva's dialogue delivery - facepalm... he does okay with long sentences but suffers when he has to say few words. 😊

Alright... let the fangirling begin. VARUN!!! ❤️ My Rohan, my Seenu, my Humpty, my Raghu and now my Suru. So proud of this guy. He lead the team very well and I thought he did awesomely in some of the emotional scenes and when he was delivering inspiring speeches. "Maara.. maara? Toh maarna!" That was funny. 😆 He also dances like a dream. Watching Chunar on the big screen in 3D was amazing... I got a bit emotional when the mother's form disappears into feathers. The 3 girls next to me were completely floored in Varun's entry scene... I was too. What a beautiful man. 😳

SHRADDHA!!! <3 OMG. What a GORGEOUS girl. ❤️ Her figure... goals. LOL. 😆 She kept up well with the boys and had great camaraderie with all of them especially Punit. And I was mighty impressed with her dialogue delivery and expressions. She nailed that. I believe Varun and Shraddha brought the best outta each other ⭐️

I need a whole new paragraph to address the chemistry. 😆 Anyone else blushing whenever Varun and Shraddha had scenes by themselves? Like I couldn't control. 😆 They were just so cute and innocent and pure and made for each other. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Shraddha looks at Suru throughout the film like at the end of Sun Sathiya and Naach Meri Jaan Naach. ❤️ I can't describe the mushiness I was feeling. Okay now I may sound perverse but when the song promos and stuff released, they'd always fade to black whenever Shraddha and Varun's lips touched... so I was always thinking: Oh, they're keeping the kissing scene under wraps coz it must be so epic... but nope, it was literally 2 seconds. 😆 Sun Sathiya on the big screen was EPIC. 👏⭐️ Shraddha's dedication is evident.

Lauren was quite good in her role - I really liked her song Tattoo and her small scene with Shraddha... also she got to slap Varun's butt. 👍🏼😆 Punit was good - his scene with Shraddha about Suru being her boyfriend is adorable. 😳

Story - maybe people would disagree with me but I was expecting far less than what I got. I thought India was gonna win the hip hop championship and my heart literally skipped a beat when they all fell... I was in my seat saying: "No... no...no..." when the camera cut to Dharmesh and Punit who was coughing. The finale dance was AMAZING. I heard one lady say "WOW" in the row behind me. ⭐️

Direction - I should have never doubted Remo - he actually made a good enough film and filled it with entertaining pieces. The choreography was OUTSTANDING. BEST EVER in a Bollywood film. ⭐️ I loved that the other dancers were also given their moments to shine and for most of the songs, they performed as a team and it wasn't just Shraddha or Varun in the front. Songs were good :) Naach meri jaan naach hook step is pretty cool. I know it doesn't involve much technicalities but it's my favorite step. Oh and the Charlie Chaplin performance was fun! 😃

As a fan of Varun, I've so loved being part of the journey thus far. Every film he does merits my affection for him. And I'm extremely proud of his success. ❤️ He must be over the moon. KJo, can you kick Alia out of Shuddhi and replace her with Shraddha? I want them to sign something together again coz I needed more of that. I mean I know the movie was supposed to be about dance primarily but I need to see them in a romcom... they have the sweetest chemistry together. 😆😳

I just realized I forgot to mention the music directors.. Sachin Jigar... give it up for them... FANTASTIC music... they had a lot to do in the film and were essential to the vision and I think they gave amazing music. ⭐️

I'd give the film 4/5. A must see for people who love dance - it's got all the elements for an entertaining film dance, songs, eye candy, comedy, drama, romance, spectacular visuals in 3D and talented people. If you don't like dancing, then yes, you may feel there's too much dancing so bear that in mind. I'm just so elated it took a good opening and I hope the momentum sustains so that more dance films can be made. Glad I caught it on the first day. YAY for team ABCD 2 ❤️❤️

@Bold. Wohi toh point hain yaar... to have it displayed in an Indian film where dance is done in every film as a side. But this dancing is of a different level and is the main focus and those dancers are capable of performing them. The indian audience should witness this talent, don't you think? 😊

Saw the movie today.

There is no doubt these guys have worked really really hard for this movie. That in itself should be applauded because you don't see dance movies in India like this except in reality shows. Varun/Shraddha were so cute together and their dancing was incredible. All the other dancers Dharmesh, Lauren everyone was brilliant too.Everyone was given their space to shine in the dances which was great, the trained dancers weren't completely treated like background noise which was good.

I felt the back stories and romantic closure for Varun/Shraddha was not well done but then again this perhaps was not the main focus of the story. For sure the movie is way too long, the editing should have been tighter. When you start seeing dances every few minutes then you begin getting a bit desensitized in terms of appreciating it.

All that being said, I enjoyed the movie and well done to the entire cast👏

Dont know why but i didnt find it long. 😆 Maybe i got lost in the film too much that time ka pata hi nahi chala. 😆 Agree about Prabhudeva tough. 🥱

Thi got one of the biggest cheers in the hall. 😆 After this when the organizer comes and pulls them apart some one from behind me shouted "🤬 Ladne de na, Maar Suru Aur Maar" 🤣.
