Bollywood woudn't be the same without its unpredictability. From breakups to patchups, our industry has seen it all. Joining the bandwagon of couples who have decided to separate for good is director Anurag Kashyap and actress Kalki Koechlin. On the one hand while the actress is overwhelmed with the appreciation that her upcoming movie Margarita With A Straw is gathering, Kalki has also learnt to let bygones be bygones and start her life on a new note.
While the actress has stated that she is still open to love, marriage might never be on the cards. "If there's anyone who has to live his life and to survive then he or she needs to believe in love. Love is an essential component of life and I still do and will always believe in love. Talking about marriage, I never considered marriage as an essential component of life. Anurag and I got married to please our parents," says Kalki rather candidly.Speaking on the same, Kalki says, "I think most of the people feel the pressure to get married as they have to please their parents and that's usually the only reason. The actual institution was there to protect women from becoming pregnant and being left by the man if they were not married. There was a reason for getting married but in today's age where both women and men are working and independent I think it is not necessary because women are can take care of themselves .Also I think relationships are based on honesty and trust so I don't think marriage is a necessary institution."Margarita With A Straw is all set to release on April 17 in which Kalki plays a girl suffering from cerebral palsy.
