I don't think so, not specifically bhai's support. But as much as I believe that he cares for Arpita and was very upset by those jokes (none of which made it to the final cut of the show) I also believe that a part of him is doing this to recover from the backlash that he received after the last time. There is nothing more noble than defending a girl from big bad bullies. Ironically this whole issue was dying down and he not only brought it back up to the surface but made the deleted portions on Arpita the main issue.

At the risk of opening a whole new can of worms here, the biggest irony of this situation isn't lost on me. Aamir Khan was upset because Salman Khan's sister was treated with verbal and emotional violence. OK.
