Sonakshi first Indian face of leading eyewear brand

Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in as the first Indian brand ambassador of a leading eyewear designer and marketer. The announcement was made in Mumbai on Wednesday.

"I am honoured to be working with a brand with such a strong legacy. There's a rich history behind Foster Grant and I'm happy to be an integral part of the team as they begin their exciting journey in India," Sonakshi said at the event.

"The Foster Grant Signature collection embodies today's lifestyle, where eyewear is no longer just a necessity, but an expression of a person's personality and will soon gain favour as an important, stylish and chic accessory," she added.

The actress also took to microblogging website Twitter to share the news and tweeted, "Say hello to the new Brand Ambassador of @FosterGrantUSA eyewear. Happy to be their first face in India!"

Sonakshi was last seen on the silver screen in Tevar' with Arjun Kapoor. She will next be seen in A. R. Murugadoss's female oriented action film.
