Incredibly mature response by Sonakshi, considering it was so easy for her to have gotten emotional and replied harshly. You go girl!!!

I suspect that Mahesh wanted to claim some kind of political agenda because of her Dad's position. But he should have never taken Sonakshi's name. The girl is just as innocent in this as his own daughter. Not to mention that had this gotten ugly things could have gotten tense between Alia and Sonakshi for the next who knows how many years.

The registering of the FIR against AIB Knockout' participants has rattled a few nerves. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has commented on the omission of Sonakshi Sinha from the FIR, only to get a prompt reply from the actress.

In a disturbing development, an FIR has been filed against Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone for being part of AIB Knockout' roast that was held in December but the videos of which were put online recently and then taken down after controversy.

Interestingly, Sonakshi Sinha, who was also part of the audience like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, has not been named in the FIR. Mahesh Bhatt, father of Alia Bhatt, pointed this out when he said, "Alia was a participant and also subjected to the humour. The FIR names Deepika Padukone and Alia among the participants. Why not the other 3,998 attendees of the show? More importantly, if it names celebrities in the audience, why not Sonakshi Sinha."

Sonakshi Sinha's father Shatrughan Sinha, as you may know, is a BJP MP. Therefore Mahesh Bhatt concluded that "certain forces are orchestrating this series of events."

Sonakshi wasn't pleased by Mahesh Bhatt's comment and took to Twitter to clarify.

"Dear Mr.@MaheshNBhatt, a couple of pointless FIR's have been filed before this (Delhi and Kolkata if I'm not mistaken), in which my name was mentioned and Alia's wasn't. I don't remember my father questioning them as to how or why so. I do agree with you however, if these FIR's are filed on 2-3 members of the audience, why not the other 3,998. Let's not give these people the attention they so desperately seek. And as far as my memory serves me, nobody EVER went to jail for laughing," Sonakshi said in a series of tweets.

There was no rebuttal from Mahesh Bhatt at the time of this story going online.
