Why is this "source close to the actress" telling such a personal story about Ranveer? Shouldn't Ranveer be the one mentioning how difficult this was for him rather than some random third party? And how that led to his gf Deepika speaking about mental illness afterwards

Ranveers friend did die of suicide. It was around the time of the release of finding fanny where ranveer attended the Finding fanny premier and the journalists asked him why he was sad, he said he was going through a personal tragedy and then we found out that his childhood friend had died.

As soon as deepika said in her article about depression that one of her friends died i knew she was talking about ranveers friend, deepika has become friends with many of ranveers childhood friends, so when he died i can understand both of them going through a tough time, also deepika was also suffering from exhaustion..

I really can't believe some people r making jokes out of this, it has nothing to do with PR either!

I am not commenting on how true/false it is but i am only against with the term 'depression' being used too loosely as another word for sadness. Got to be careful

that's normal...from my experience, we cancers feel too much. it doesn't matter if someone is related to us or not... cancer is all about emotions.. he puts up smile all the time because he doesn't want to get involved in sad things of life..because he connects to it too easily..

Like i also try not to listen to sad news, watch sad things because i get affected too easily.. i have seen my friends who are not affected at all.. i wish i can be discreet in some issues because it takes a toll on me

i don't know the reason for deepika's depression (may be she hasn't explained it) but i surely know the reason for ranveer's depression. his best childhood friend died due to suicide!
this is not something that can be joked about. you have to consider yourself in his place and imagine. this is not a movie, guys.

So rotten imagination like that of quietude in these things is not welcome... we all know how many reacted on AIB jokes.. if you are hurt by that which had no harm on anyone involved... this is not even a joke!!!!!!
