Ranbir joined .. he is here for 6 hours and he is already advertizing lenovo.

So many of his fans stayed online for 8 hours for him, he should have said that it isn't an official account and part of Lenovo.

kuch accha nai laga 😕.. i like him as an actor but this appears very business-oriented rather than fan love.

Yeah...they all sell products they endorse anyway. Ranbir is being upfront about it.

No. that was not the point. Stars here don't come for just 6 hrs. Others sell but they interact too.. they send messages to fans, chat with them..

Some have done it in the past. Like John Abraham joined for sometime to promote something. Rajnikanth joined twitter and a bot sent out tweets to everyone. Kajol joined to promote a UN initiative. I see nothing wrong in it...he is upfront. If fans are fooling themselves...they are to be blamed and not him.

Yep. Better than pitching yourself through music videos that have no connection with the product it supposed to pitch.

Anyway, most of the stars promote themselves through Twitter. So what's the big deal if a star is promoting a product?

They were upfront about it. He sent so many video messages to fans as well at the end. Fans are happy. ;)

Yes...why not?? Social media can be used just like TV or radio...its another way to make people listen to what u have to say...whether its about the fans or products...I don't see anything wrong in it.

Ehh since they all do it why can't he? The question should be was it wise for him to do it within hours of joining? There is excitement and hoopla that he's finally joined so everyone is watching him. On the one hand he'll probably never have such exciting audience in social media. On the other hand these audiences might react like you and say "W*F dude?" I guess time will tell.
