Even HSSH was better than HAHK. HAHK was shitty movie with no story and zero chemistry between the lead pair. Other than the Didi Tera song the rest of the songs sucked. 🤢

HAHK was hyped and watched by the same crowd tat made Kyunki Saas popular.

HAHK any time its a classic. The trend of family values started from it at a time when hardcore action films and boy girl families opposing were all that were offered. HAHK brough a change in 90 it was HAHK that inspired aditya chopra and kjo. They told as first time directors they were inspired by sooraj barjatya style of storytelling with involvement of family values and weddings in indian love story.

Sorry it is MAINE PYAAR KIYA ( MPK ) The best romantic movie ever!

Among these two, HAHK was fun movie but DDLJ had SRK KAJOL. So its hard for me to pick. As one movie had Evergreen PREM and Other had RAJ SIMRAN.

HAHK is the trendsetter. It is a complete family film and a happy, light hearted film for all ages. Whereas DDLJ is more of a love story.

Anyday HAHK over DDLJ.

True. Chopras and Johars were totally inspired by MPK and HAHK. Just added NRI angle to be different.

HAHK brought back family audiences to theatres. It is still one of the few films which people of all ages can watch with family. A clean, happy film with classic Indian values.

Stories before that were all action masala or violent love stories where boy and girl were at loggerheads with family.

I remember music and costumes of HAHK being an absolute rage! Many copied their style of wedding celebrations. And still do.

HAHK being the biggest hit of 90s, first film to complete Golden jubilee in multiple locations overseas and its TV premiere being one of the top rated TV premieres of all time proves its supremacy even further.
