No regrets. He's just trying to run from jail.

If he was the kind of a person to have regrets he would have tried to help save lives of people who he crushed with his SUV. You cannot expect such a pu$$y and a coward to be remorseful about what happened.

On the contrary, he must be blaming the poor old man for sleeping on the footpath. 😭

Nope. He is still arrogant and doesn't mind resorting to violence( incident with SRK). Too busy to save jail term with Being Human PR. He wouldn't have fled the place like a coward if he had any humanity in him.

I believe every normal human being regrets killing another. Even cops feel remorse when they kill the worst most hardened criminals in the line of duty. Only psychopaths and sociopaths feel no remorse.

At the same time most human beings also try to justify their actions to ease the remorse.

Cops, soldiers executioners tell themselves - that it was done in the line of duty, that it was for a just cause, that they had no choice
Ordinary humans tell themselves - that it was an accident, that they didn't mean to do it, that they are otherwise good people, that they can make up for it through charity etc

I have no idea what Salman Khan feels. I'd guess he feels remorse. I think his constant charity is in part to make up for the fact that he killed a person.

That he doesn't admit his guilt and has made the case controversial with threats is a separate issue. I think it is fear of prison, loss of face, ego and other factors trigger this behavior. Psychologically, the crime doesn't exist till you admit to it. It is how kids categorically deny biting, hitting, kicking their friends/siblings even though everyone knows they did it. They know it is wrong. They know they should admit to it and apologize. They know others saw them. You just form this mental perception that denial erases its existence. Of course Salman's case is a much more extreme case with more drastic repercussions than a juvenile fight.

Come on, it was an accident of course he regrets it any human being would. He should be punished for driving under the influence but as far as the act itself, it was purely an accident. He didn't go out that night and wanting to kill that man.

I agree that we really don't know how he feels. And I also agree that the reasons you mentioned above are at least part of why he won't admit guilt. But this accident with other incidents from his past makes me wonder? Does he really? Or does he have a very mild case of sociopathy. I'm not diagnosing him of course. I'm not qualified at all nor have I even met the man. But I don't even know that outside of a court appearance he's even acknowledged this tragedy. Has even once come out and said I'm sorry a human being was killed by a car I was in?

I think the main reason, if not the only reason, for his charity work is PR. And it surely has worked. Today he's one of the biggest superstars of the industry and lives a comfortable rich life because the public's adulation for him.

What is really aggravating in all of this is this underlying message from him and his supporters that the life that was lost just wasn't valuable enough. Or that it happened so long ago that it should be forgotten. To be fair the Indian judicial system's snail pace had contributed a great deal to this and it ironically has given him ample time to work on his PR. But, Every time his mother or father or sisters or brothers see him and have a good time with him that dead person's family doesn't.

We haven't even started talking about the officer who was a witness and refused to lie and died a miserable lonely death because of this case.

What I don't get is the rest of the industry's love for him. That will always baffle me.
