I just happened to see the trailer on YouTube yesterday. This movie released in some festival circuits earlier this year and got really great reviews. Kalki Koechlin plays a girl with cerebral palsy and it traces her journey through discovering love and sexuality. It also has Revathy, another fabulous actress as her mother. The trailer looks promising. Kalki seems to have done a phenomenal job. She looks exceptionally authentic.

Curious to see how many people have seen the movie and what they thought. I hadn't even heard of the movie till I happened to see a link to the trailer by chance. Hopefully, This topic will make more people aware of the film.

It is sad that some good movies simply fly under the radar.

People on YouTube were complaining about why it is releasing so late in India. At least it is coming out. I dont get to see most of the art house desi films. Only Lunchbox came to Sundance here.

I guess we are the only ones on IF interested in it. 😆

Kalki is a cute actress...loved her in all movies except in YJHD. She should take up more and more sensible movies, otherwise it'd be a criminal wastage of talent.. anyways.

Revathy as Kalki's mother? Interesting.. tfs RTH :)

Wow, trailer looks very intriguing. I had no clue of this movie. It's doesn't seem like the pity movie but more of a story told from another individuals perspective. Looking forward to watch it.

Yes. The trailer seems like a celebratory story - a girl going out trying to live her life and find love on her own terms. That's what makes it more interesting, it doesn't seem to be a sad depressing story about the hardships of being disabled. I like the movies that are portraying that disabled people are just like us in many ways.

As a kid in India I used to lump - Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and a host of other disorders as "being retarded". That they cannot have normal relationships/friendships. Now I feel so stupid. Many of these individuals are just as intelligent and normal (if not more) as the other person. Just because certain disabilities make them look and sound different does not mean they don't socialize and connect just like we do. We need more movies like this.
