Yes I think he is overhyped as a star & that I think is mostly by his fans which is reasonable. I haven't seen him being lauded as a superstar or anything anywhere in the media. I would personally want him to concentrate on delivering good work than all the fluff around being a star. His stardom is definitely overrated but not his talent.

Words like star and icon are thrown around and over used routine. One man's star is another man's overhype.

To me Ranveer is a future star and will stick around because of his talent, drive, discipline and his attitude, You may disagree.

No no... IDK how much he's hyped on this forum, but he is definitely a fantastic actor from the younger lot(or even compared to the Khans frankly speaking). I liked him in his EVERY movie... he gets into his characters very well and acts so effortlessly be it -- Lootera, BBB, Ram-Leela, Ladies VS Vicky Bahl... I was surprised one could act so well in his first movie.

Never seen him under-performing or over-performing... he's sometimes like a breathe of fresh air.

I only hope he keeps doing more variety, he already HAS, but, wish to see more of him in diverse roles, consistently... that way he can really be very successful, because he's an actor with so much potential. It'd be criminal wastage of talent if his success wouldnt grow in years to come. Bless him.

Also, he seems so driven, focussed, devoted and hardworking, such people gain respect in my eyes.

Yes, he is overhyped. So, what's the plan?😆 If you like, you can try to stop it. Some actors, person have persona that anything they do becomes news...so they get overhyped...

May be he will surpass every other new generation actors and reach the top and some ppl see it somehow and believe in him so they overhype him. To know this, let's wait for 5 years then we will see who reaches where ok..

What about other newbies, everyone seem to be overhyped to me...include Ranbir in it too... it's an overhyped industry!
