Priyanka Chopra who has been winning accolades for her portrayal of boxing champion Mary Kom has now been approached to play another real-life achiever.

If the actor gives the nod, she may reprise the role of retired police officer Kiran Bedi who was India's first and highest ranking police officer and served in various capacities as New Delhi traffic postings, Deputy Inspector General of Police in Mizoram, Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau besides others.

The news that the actress has been approached was confirmed by her spokesperson. Director Soham Shah (who made Luck in 2009, and Kaal in 2005) will reportedly helm the project.

Have you EVER seen Kiran Bedi speak?! Priyanka may be a good actress, but, she isnt fit to play Kiran Bedi.

Someone more tough-looking, someone who can speak authoritatively, someone with a vibrant enthuse yet an astute demeanour that commands respect. And, I cant think of any in Bollywood :(

Raining biopics in BW. Hopefully, they'll work properly on the script rather than just hope to cash in on a popular personality.

No way!

Anushk has the face but doesn't have the physic! Also her voice isn't as strong or authoritative, way Kiran has! Watch Anushka's interview and then watch Kiran's.

I don't think anyone can match to magnificence of Kiran Bedi! She has been a strong lady. But neverthless, if PC can slip into shoes of MK, she might also play Kiran with same grace😳
