Shahid Kapoor was the first choice over Hrithik Roshan for Bang Bang!

The Jab We Met actor refused the offer as he was apprehensive about the comparison with Tom Cruise

Yes, you read that right. Before signing Hrithik Roshan for 2014s most anticipated film Bang Bang, the makers had initially approached Shahid Kapoor for this grand project. As reported on an entertainment portal, the producers of the film, Fox Star Studios, were keen on casting Sasha for the role as his character in Mausam resembled to Tom Cruise in Top Gun.

As we already know, that Bang Bang is an adaptation of Cruise's Knight and Day, the makers thought that Mr Kapoor will fit the bill. However, the Kaminey actor refused the role as he was worried about possible comparisons with the Hollywood star.

Well as they say, someone's loss is someone's gain. This action packed role in Siddharth Anand's film was then offered to Hrithik and rest as we know is history. Well, considering Shahid's recent transformation from his chocolate boy looks to his macho man characters we believe Bang Bang would have been a big ticket for the actor.
