Salman Khan who plays the role of an actor in Sajid Nadidwala's Jaan-E-Maan was initially reluctant to sport the disguise of a woman in the film. No surprise, considering Salman has a huge fan following for his macho image.
However, there is a scene in the film where director Shirish Kunder wanted Salman to dress like a woman. According to an assistant director of the film, "The actor used to spend hours discussing the costume and the make-up for his make-over. He didn't want to make it look cheap. Salman has an amazing body and it was difficult to make him look petite. Finally, however, he did the scene without any fuss."
Salman would double over with laughter every time his make-up man asked him to close his eyes and put on long eye lashes on him. "He apparently told his make-up guy, 'Thank god I am an actor and not an actress… a woman's make-up is very bothersome!' But he would patiently sit through the entire make-over. A special wig was ordered from the US for Salman, to wear which he went completely bald. "When he wasn't giving a shot, he usually took off his wig. And Bhai looked really cute with his bald look, and his woman's make-up on the sets!" says a co-actor.
"It was really funny, for every time the hair stylist would come up to Salman to comb his wig, he would take it off and hand it over to her. Salman has an amazing scene of humor and everyone would be rolling with laughter on the sets, at his antics," says our source.
In fact, according to our source, Salman was in the best of humour on the sets of this film. "Salman chatted with everyone on the sets and shared his home-made food with everyone too," says our source. He often brought biryani in his lunch-box, which Akshay Kumar waited for eagerly. It was a common sight to see Salman getting his make-over done, while having biryani with Sajid and Akshay on the sets.
