Well...just because they got it wrong for one country doesn't mean all the other names are automatically suspect. If not Sonam, then who? I would have personally named Kangana or Neha D but they haven't put India on the global map through their sartorial choices like Sonam has. Sonam has made many Cannes appearances where she has showcased a lot of ethnic wear even if fused with Western. So I think she deserves this.

Liberty Ross did not go to Cannes, she is the mother of two kids. She is Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nail's) sister. Her claim to fame is being married or being related to famous people or being the one who was cheated on. Her biggest catch though is being the girlfriend of a buda billionaire who is powerful and obviously has contacts. Her name is being splashed in Vogue and I think Vanity Fair. Liberty Ross is obviously trying to build a brand and this maybe part of it I suspect.

I have no clue about the rest. Perhaps they are taste makers, but the thing about Liberty Ross is so much bakhwas it makes me suspect them and the Sonam thing too. Call me cynical..😛
