People laughing at Katrina should also know, If Katrina can't do Manjulika, same way Vidya can't do fun roles like Katrina did in APKGK, Zoya from ETT, MBKD... Or even Glam roles. Vidya also fall flat where u have 2 look Glam in films...

I can see Kangana pulling this off and maybe Priyanka. Rani and Kajol could've too

Aishwarya too the role was actually made for her not sure why she didn't say yes to it big mistake

This is one of Vidya bestest performance. She was mind blowing in this movie.

Having said that I can see Kajol Aish Rani Urmila Kareena Priyanka or even deepika sonakshi pulling this off

But I think vidya was excellent so it's really hard to imagine someone else in her place.

I loved Vidya as Manjulika - she was very good in the role.

Maybe, Konkona could have pulled this off as well.

Madhuri Dixit in her hey days would've done a far better job actually...So would've Sridevi

Vidya really didnt do justice to the classical dance sequences

Many critics wrote Vidya's performance was not a patch on the actress's performance in original malayalam version of the movie
