If Alia is credited for success of 2 states solely now, I have nothing more to say. But NO, the script, the book, the settings both play a huge part in the success of the movie. Did I mention how 2 states was also a very fun loving movie, the promos were colourful , had no major releases around that time. It was also a family entertainer (minus the make out scenes)

Now Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. I will not deny by this time Alia has gained some fans, but she can just act. In bollywood, where no one can act except Vidya, Priyanka, Kangana and Kareena , anyone else who shows the least bit potential is overhyped and compared to just about anyone. But the title of the movie is interesting, the promos are good, make out scenes, songs are hits, movie is heavily marketed BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE ALIA THE BEST THING ABOUT BOLLYWOOD RIGHT NOW OH GOD!

As much as I dislike Deepika, I credit her for the success of Ram Leela because by then she gained a major fan following but Alia is nowhere near.
