RANVEER SINGH: Not Just a Media Hype!!!

This thread is to analyse his strengths and to tell why he is NOT just a media hype but has a potential to become a superstar in coming years.

DIRECTOR'S BELIEF AND FAITH- Great directors = Great products
He was offered RamLeela by SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI when he was no one. Bhansali didn't go to other actors including RK,Why? Not every1 is a fan of Bhansali but he is acclaimed director in hindi film industry with multiple best director, best film awards.
Bhansali who never repeated actors (except salman) no matter how big the actor is, has decided to cast him in his dream project Bajirao Mastani next. Many other top actors would have loved to work in it.
He was offered Bombay Velvet by ANURAG KASHYAP when he was no one. Kashyap didn't go to Ranbir Kapoor first. Why?

He was offered BMB by Rakesh OP Mehra. Mehra went to Ranveer too. Why?
ZOYA AKHTAR went to Ranveer once Ranbir Kapoor backed off when his Lootera wasn't even doing well! She didn't go to others in the industry. Why?
All these movies were offered when Deepika Padukone was out of picture in his life!

MULTITALENTED- Hai kisike pas?
He is a great performer better than any other newcomers. He is a great dancer. He is a great actor. He has all the ingredients to attract public interest.

AWARDS- geenna suru karo starting 2016
Ranveer has won best debut awards, he has been nominated for best actor awards.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED- Fortune favors the bold
Putting his budding career on line, he took a bold decision to endorse a condom brand. No other mainstream actor has done it, neither any1 will do it in near future. This decision could have huge negative implications for him.

COACTRESSES- His attitude and personality
Now, as Sid malhotra confirms time n again who wouldn't love to work with Deepika? or Priyanka or Anushka or Sonakshi early in their career! But alas! they all love to work with Ranveer it seems (reasons unknown). PC doing her 4rth collaboration, DP doing 2nd, Pari doing 2nd, Anushka 2nd already!! Ranveer's last 5 releases had 5 of the top actresses in the industry.

STARDOM- just 28 yrs of age!
It doesn't require anything but connection to the audience. Whatever Ranveer does makes news. Whatever other newcomers do doesn't make news! Take this point in a broad sense. With lineups like BM, DDD and his increasing fan following; we can only expect the man to go closer to superstardom.

I like Ranveer. His charm and personality is un-matched. Even the so called 'Greek-God' brigade in Bollywood is ugly in front of him.

I can't imagine anyone other than Ranveer saying 'Biness' in BBB and portraying Bittu Sharma like he did. He was so perfect in his first movie. I was highly impressed. and over the time he has only improved. even though RL/Gunday was 👎🏼 I think he performed his part well. And he just outdid everything in Lootera. once again, no one can match him as Varun.

Good post Tomar! I think you have everything covered. What I love about Ranveer is his ability to create a illusion. He is not scared to experiment new looks or outrageous roles. He may have rough patches but still it's a great experience in an otherwise bland world of Rom-coms which is bollywood these days. I will be happy if he continues his good work irrespective of hits & flops. I know guys care about stardom, numbers but most of his female fans are just glad to watch his performance.

Dude is talented and has a personality and already has some big movies coming up ... not a media hype for sure 👍🏼

A production house like YRF is not signing just anyone for 4 films in less than four years if that actor in question lacked real talent and has no mass appeal.
