Arjun to replace Rajkummar Rao in Revolution2020?

Kai Po Che! and 2 States, the two films based on books by Chetan Bhagat, have given Rajkummar Rao and Arjun Kapoor, respectively, the biggest hits of their careers. Rao " who was previously considered to play the protagonist in the cinematic adaptation of Bhagat's last novel Revolution 2020 " is set to be replaced by Arjun Kapoor. Rao, high from his National Award win for Shahid, has lately been bagging a number of major projects but, in an industry where you are as good as your last Friday, the mixed response to his last release Citylights may have worked against him. Kapoor, on the other hand, had just had his career's first bona fide hit with 2 States, which grossed over Rs 100 crore. According to sources, Revolution 2020 is a big-budget project and the makers " director Raj Kumar Gupta and producer UTV Motion Pictures " are looking for a star-actor to make it more commercially viable. UTV is in talks with Kapoor.

Such a difference it makes if you have a recent hit film, a better link in the film industry family and a better face and looks. Sad for Rajkumar, Happy for Arjun.

It really sucks if they just dropped RajKummar like that but I'm happy for Arjun. I wonder who is going to be the leading lady, fingers cross it will be Pari.

Badly wanted Rajkumar to play this role. After I heard he's not gonna do it, I wanted Dhanush to play it. But Arjun...I don't know if he will do justice to the role.

I was doubting it earlier itself when rajkumar and sid roy kapur were claiming its bcos of date issues. i guess the image of a mainstream hero is also very important in BW. No wonder Raj got replaced by Arjun. personally i thought raj fitted the role perfectly. Gopal isnt a 'hero' type character, in fact he has a complex somewhere as he feels he is not good loiking, intelligent or charming like raghav.

Arjun is a better choice if you are considering the commercial prospects of the movie..
