As I feel Aamir don't have popularity like others because he is not public figure his film not portrait Aamir Khan since last decade no one found Aamir in film they know Bhuwan, Aakash, Dj Nikum sir, Rehan , Samer Rancho etc people remember only character after watch his movies they don't remember Aamir Khan I can say he is not favorite in new generation like others, mostly liked by mature peoples who not spends time on net or social media.

In my personal opinion, Aamir has also made bad films of course, but I'd say that during the last 10 years he has made only two bad films - Ghajini and Dhoom 3 (but both of those made a sweep at the BO, so the joke's on me 😛)..

Nah, the joke is not on you. The joke is on general masses who went to see these films. back when Gajhini was released I was more into hollywood than bollywood, so wasn't aware of upcoming projects. When I saw the Ghajini poster for the first time, I was like dude they are copying Memento. When I read about it, it was pretty clear thats what they have done. To this date I haven't seen ghajini. I won't spoil one of my favourite movie like memento by watching its poor rip off version.

Gajini was game changer.. Aamir braught Action films back in action.

Just like he almost ended Crap action films in 80s and with QSQT... changed the game.

Aamir is trend setter.. others follow him.

I guess he doesnt go to every media portal and claim himself the superstar or king khan... He doesnt do any sorts of publicity stunts to remain in the news... Guess maybe thats why he aint as popular..

But I agree with everyone saying Aamir means a guranteed good film.. During 3 Idiots and after that, I realised here in Singapore, I see other races also enjoy watching his movies... When I went to see Dhoom 3 (2 times), both times, the theatre was 90% full, and in that 40% of them belonging to other race, as in Chinese and Malays... I have never seen the same for SRK or SK...

Aamir also had Lagaan.. a sports movie can be successful in India. He had a disater in Avval no.1.

D3 did 250 not 300. Never read or heard of 300 crore nett club started by a movie yet.
