I think it's half prejudice against actresses over 30 years of age that people in the industry and audience has and the other half is that actresses need to redefine their career after 30 and then 40 and so on. They can't exactly continue doing what they used to in their 20s. They need to choose different roles, different scripts. Look at Madonna. She is not where she is currently without redefining her career and changing with the changes in the music industry. I don't think she still does things similar to how she used to when she was 20 years old. So if actresses over 30 do flowerpot roles or choose bad scripts then its not really the audience that failed them.

But yes, actors and especially actresses should keep their age hidden.

It is her basic HUMAN RIGHT to not wish to discuss her PERSONAL life if she does not want to, her professional life & body of work is public's property, not her personal life.

Secondly I guess there is no SECRET behind her age or even any confusion..it exists only at IF. No actress flaunt their ages all the time, and I never came across a single incident where she TRIED to hide her age.

Most importantly, her age was OUT IN OPEN even when she DEBUTED. I clearly remembered the initial articles about katrina in the most reliable shopwbiz mags like stardust and Movie before the release of BOOM that r still fresh in my mind when they cameout, where the authors clearly mentioned her as a 19 year old UK based rising model & aspiring future actress in year 2002..she actually never lookedlike more then 19 or 20 max at that time... so at the release of Boom she was 20 and it is no rocket science to calaculate her age now..she is 31 ... almost priyanka's age... she cant be 34 or 35 as claimed or been perceived in this thread.

Now by that margin then kat must be 30, 31 whatever but definitely younger

than Kareena so how is she 'hiding' her age?

She doesnt blare 'I am this age that age?" has she?
