Devdas on TV now as a Daily soap

If rumours are to be believed, Ekta Kapoor is planning to make a TV show based on 'Devdas'. The TV czarina is already working on the script of the show that will be based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's popular novel of the same name. Since Ekta realises how the story of Devdas, Paro and Chandramukhi fascinates people of all ages, she decided to make her next fiction show on the same theme.

A Mid-Day report says Ekta's script will be around three people and their love triangle. Though the concept has been used in both Bollywood and television, it will be treated differently for this fictional show. Hence, her production house is in talks with the channel Colors to bag a prime time slot for this show.

The casting is kept under wraps and the production team is waiting for the IPL to get over before they can take a final call on it.

Isn't the love triangle thing a typical thing in her soaps any way so there isn't that different. Also weird that because JA worked Devdas is being made.

Doesn't Ekta have any original ideas left? Making shows that are based on movies. First JA and now Devdas.

^^^She NEVER had original ideas. All her shows are inspired by some movies. Her earliest success Koshish was inspired by a Jeetendra film. That silsila has continued.

now paro will have 100s lovers and devdas will marry chandramukhi and have 50 affairs...

Instead of starting again, she can pick up from where SLB left it, Devdas dies.

Kevdas will be reincarnated and Karo will run away successfully from the gate and they will be united. Not before a 1000 episodes of course. 😆
