Vaani Kapoor or Parineeti C in SRK' s Fan

Shahrukh Khan is teaming up with Yash Raj Films for the movie Fan. The actor has given his nod to the project and hunt is on for its leading lady.

Buzz is that YRF's new find Vaani Kapoor might land the role. Even though the production house hasn't confirmed it yet, Vaani could clinch the coveted role as she is already in contract with the production house.

Vaani stormed into Bollywood with YRF's Shuddh Desi Romance. After making an impressive debut, she went on to sign Aaha Kalyanam, the Tamil remake of Hindi hit film Band Baaja Baaraat. The movie did average business at the BO.

Besides Vaani Kapoor, another actress in the reckoning for the role is YRF's blue-eyed girl Parineeti Chopra. The actress has never done a film with Shahrukh Khan. Together they would make an interesting pair. Anushka Sharma's name is also doing the rounds for the same.

In the movie Fan, Shahrukh Khan will play the role of a fan. The Band Baaja Baarat fame director Maneesh Sharma is going to be at the helm of affairs. The shooting is likely to start from May.
