Ranveer Singh is currently busy with Yash Raj's Kill Dil, and is in talks with several other producers for various films, and one such interesting movie is Hindi remake of Kannada movie Lucia.
Joining the likes of Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh too is prepping up to do a South remake. However, his film is going to be a lot different from the regular masala flicks. The Kannada movie Lucia, directed and written by Pawan Kumar, is an off-beat psycho-thriller. The movie even won Best Film Audience Choice award at the London Indian Film Festival 2013.

Fox Star recently bought the rights to the film and pre-production has just started. Director Pawan Kumar is excited for the movie, and has been to Mumbai a couple of times for discussions. Making Lucia was tough for him as it was a first-of-its-kind crowd-funded movie. However, the Hindi one is backed by Fox Star Studios, and this time the budget is huge.
Talking about the star cast of the film, Pawan Kumar said, "A lot of actors including Ranveer Singh are being considered."
If Ranveer agrees to be part of the movie, it would be a challenging role for the actor, who has also signed Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. Meanwhile, Ranveer is also said to be a top contender to play Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani.
