Daisy is excited about Jai Ho
Choreographer-turned-actress Daisy Shah admits that she feels she's "living a dream". After all not every newcomer is lucky enough to make her debut opposite a superstar like Salman Khan.
She says, "It's still like a dream for me and I don't want to pinch myself awake. Jab jaag jaayenge toh sochenge aage kya karna hai."
Buzz is that Salman has been promoting Daisy in the industry and recommending her for other projects too. Reacting to the news she says, "If that is true, it's great! Who wouldn't want a mentor like Salman?"
Speaking about the reactions she has been receiving for her film Jai Ho, an excited Daisy says, "I'm super happy that the response has been amazing. As an actor you learn to take the criticism in your stride as well but in this case, the overall feedback has been good. I have been visiting theatres to ascertain how people respond to the film. When I get positive reactions from people, whom I don't even know, it really matters. After all, people who know me will say positive things."
Daisy reveals that her family, albeit very supportive and encouraging about her debut film, was more excited to watch Salman on screen, than her. "I have to remind them that even I'm in it, so give me some attention too," she says with a laugh.
Daisy recalls how stunned she was when she was told that she bagged the role opposite Salman. "I froze. Salman and Sohail told me, Arre kuch toh excitement dikhao'. After gaining some composure I simply said that I'd react once the news of me making a debut with Salman Khan sinks in." Apart from facing the camera, Daisy had to learn the ways of the industry too, while working on Jai Ho and treasures every lesson she learnt on the sets and from Salman and Sohail Khan.
