Sheesh. I really like Parineeti, but I don't like that comment. Sonakshi is gorgeous. If I saw her in real life, I doubt I'd think she was "overweight" at all!

To be fair to Parineeti, she didn't explicitly say "I'm not as overweight as Sonakshi". She said "You can't compare me to Sonakshi Sinha". Now she could have meant that she isn't as overweight as Sonakshi, or she could have felt that the comparisons aren't right for many reasons. Who knows what is Parineeti's reason. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. This is the first time she's actually been catty and disparaging. Also it just appears that she seems to be under a lot of pressure over her weight. There was a time she sounded more carefree, now it seems like its ingrained in her that she's too big. So maybe that's why she may have made the Sonakshi statement as a reflex defense. It is really sad how constant speculations on weight can make even educated confident women insecure of how they look.

I feel Sonakshi has a very wide set bone structure. This is very unusual for women who tend to have smaller frames. But many Punjabi/Pathan/Rajput women tend to have this big bone structure. They will never appear slim or skinny or go down below size 6. Their body simply won't allow it. Some of them are overweight, but many are actually healthy weight but appear bigger for women. Many Afro women have the same issue. If you look at Venus and Serena compared to the slender Russian and European players, they are built like hefty men, twice the size - but they are by no means fat, overweight or unfit. I think the benchmark of slim/healthy should be different for big built women. So honestly, Sonakshi should indeed not be compared to the average industry woman.

She asked the reporter if she had lost weight... Reporter showed her two benchmarks: 1) Alia & 2) Sonakshi. That means the reporter said Pari is still fatter than Sonakshi. & here Pari is thinking Sonakshi is fatter than her. 😆
