The way Amitabh's always bounced back is just amazing. Anybody in his place would feel crushed, like his colleague Vinod Khanna who once left everything and went to some ashram. Or many other stars who drank himself to death.

Some things that he does are irritating. His family is even more irritating. But there's no denying he's fabulous as a star, actor and a fighter in life.

He probably is indeed scared of losing everything which is why he keeps doing those exhibitions on his birthday, keeps tweeting and blogging about his latest achievements and past accomplishments.

The kind of luta-pita he'd gone in 90s, no one could imagine he'd be in top earning celebs' lists or top tax payers' lists.

One thing his life has taught to everyone is perseverance. He's inspirational. It's very hard to remain relevant even at 70+. He's setting standards that very rare ones can reach.

Well to him, I just have to say, stop worrying if you can. And finally you are doing great movie, keep doing them(all his quality movies are post 2000) but I can understand his share of tension...he has a family, and he seems the only earner.

You're eventually gonna lose everything, so stfu, enjoy what you've got now... bloody hell, this guy earned 147 crores in the past year, that's around GBP 14.5million!, are you having a laugh?, what is he afraid of?, losing his fortune or fame/name?, how do you lose millions? just keep away from bad business propositions, and if it's fear of losing his fame/name, just how much of a narcissist is he?

This guy is unbelievable, I'm living fine and comfortably on the peanuts I survive on in comparison, and haven't lost nor fear of losing anything!

Almost every big shot says he is scared of losing everything. Several interviews of SRK have statements like he's scared of losing stardom, he's scared of not being recognised etc.

They're in a profession where fortunes change overnight. And especially those who have built an empire on their own do wonder about losing what they've spent a lifetime building.

Amitabh's likely to be more worried because his "inheritor" is kind of not upto the mark to carry on his legacy.

He himself has kept his poet father relevant till date whereas better writers than his father have been forgotten since there was no one to carry forth or revive their legacy.

AB probably fears another crisis, becoming just a name in history books and family legacy in doldrums.

I think legacy matters a lot to all, especially influential families which reflects in how Kapoors were desperate to have a successful male progeny once again in industry - which is why they pushed Ranbir's debut aggressively and later celebrated his success asserting Kapoor supremacy.

If Big B suffers a crisis again then he may not have strength to recover. And decidedly when he's no more, no one will give a damn to Bachchans. The clan will have only his name to milk like a cash cow forever.

He seems to work like crazy even at this age only to keep solidifying their connections, stature and get more avenues through which they can keep earning as well as exert influence.

^They are megalomaniacs and narcissists, when people like SRK and Amitabh say things like they are scared of losing it all, makes you wonder how the rest of us survive anonymously on fractions of what they earn. SRK is a narcissist, plain and simple, he worries about losing his stardom and not being recognised more than losing his wealth, well one day it's gonna happen, what kind of restless unsatisfied life must he live despite having it all?

They have enough wealth for their families to live more than comfortably. You cannot control the future, it's upto the future generation to make something of themselves, you can't carry them forever, and why worry about something you can't control, after you're gone, it won't make any difference either way.
