I'm happy the single screen audience is appreciating my work: Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor is in a happy space these days. Prabhu Dheva's R...Rajkumar, which sees him do his first full-on action role, got a good opening (his personal best opening to date) and has continued to hold its ground. Shahid says, "I've done something different and I'm glad that the audience has accepted it."

The actor is more kicked since his fan base has grown because of this film. "My fan base has mainly comprised the multiplex going audience, so I'm happy the single screen audience is appreciating my work too," he adds.

Shahid is one of Bollywood's best dancers, so it's not surprising that the song Gandi Baat has become one of the highlights of this film. He says, "I love dancing. It adds a lot of grace to the body. And with Prabhu Sir, who is a dance guru, you enjoy it even more. We had fun doing the songs."

The overall feedback has been positive and Shahid has been inundated with messages from well-wishers ever since the film's release. "I guess masala entertainers always work, but I have to move on and focus my energies on Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider " a gritty drama set in Kashmir," he concludes.

Well I am happy that this worked, but kindly don't fall for these movies shahid. And about multiplex audience, you did only JWM, Kaminey and paathshala in that category. You need to do more of it. Haider sounds like something good, and that's what you need to do.

Shahid would never get stuck in a single genre yaar..he has confessed that he becomes bored if he does the same kind of roles..want him to do at least 3 movies a year..in different genres..won't at all mind seeing him in one masala movie per year...he has to take care of his SS fans too now ..😳😆 ..& I for one am loving him in this ACTION avatar...🥳⭐️..

Shahid likes to explore new spaces...He hasn't yet tried a thriller..heard some vague rumor he might..eager to know what his next films after Haider are going to be..😳

Well I don't care what he tries or not, but I expect some good movies from him. For an ex. Paathshala was a flop, it had weak storyline, yet, he was good in that. I loved him in that movie...and in kaminey and JWM, he was wonderful, and no one needs to say a word about his performance. however his recent movies are like...I would rather not talk about them.
And whether he choose suspense or horror, he should be careful in everything, director, storyline, his role. I'd rather not see him onscreen than doing stupid movies. An actor like him(he has good looks, acts well, dances well) needs to use his brains.

Oh, he's a hardcore crush of mine when I saw JWM. and yes, I've hopes from haider.
