Dhoom's Arabian delight

YRF ropes in Lebanese star to sing franchise anthem with aim to tap into West Asian market.
Lebanese singer Naya is the latest international star to croon the popular ' Dhoom Macha Le' number for the latest instalment of the franchise, Dhoom 3. A sensation in her country, Naya has sung an Arabic version of the song the same way Thai sensation Tata Young rendered an English version for the first film nine years ago.
The video captures heroine Katrina Kaif ' s sexy moves combined with frames of the 21- year- old Naya recording the song in a studio.

As against the saucy image that Tata projected in itsy- bitsy outfits, splashing around in a bathtub with Dhoom regular Abhishek Bachchan, Naya's Arabic version is slightly more conservative.
The Arabic video has been shot strategically by producers Yash Raj Films with an intention to expand the Dhoom franchise's market in West Asia.
Plans are afoot to release an Arabic Dhoom 3 in the territory together with its Hindi version. That apart, the film will also be screened at Dubai International Film Festival in January.
Meanwhile, Tuesday saw the entire cast of the film finally come together on one platform to promote the much- anticipated biggie.
However, the film's actors Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, and director Vijay Krishna Acharya, were relegated to the margins as the media directed all its questions to Katrina, asking her about her rumoured relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.
" It is final, lock it," Katrina declared in response to the questions, " I am not getting married for the next 20 to 30 years." Asked about Kareena Kapoor's statement on Koffee With Karan about her desire to dance at Ranbir and Katrina's wedding, she replied: " Kareena and Ranbir are cousins, and they pull each other's leg.
She said it as a joke."
