Because if KWK episode was the reason, Sonam was far less offensive than Deepika was. Besides, they debuted together in Saawariyaa and I always assumed that they would have a special connection for each other! But nothing like that!

I think one of the reasons might be because unlike Deepika, Sonam never backed down from her statements in order to work with him...that must have pinched his ego quite a bit!

Despite Raanjhnaa and BMB, Sonam is yet to be taken as a serious contenter in bollywood...both commerically and critically. She is known principally for her fashion sense, more than anything else...also, she is the least controversial actress of her generation, which sort of puts her out of news most of the times.

And in these type of shows, only actors whose names can generate some sort of flutter are mentioned!

They just have really bad blood...and both don't have any reason to let go of it, I suppose 😆 Someone said it well in the KWK thread...Sonam (understandably) didn't try to make an effort or play nice with him and she is an easier target because of all the things you mentioned. What I really wonder is if it'll ever change somehow.

I wish they would change up criteria for the rankings, you know what I mean? These ones are so predictable and year after year, except for a switch here or there, answers remain the same and options are the same people...those stuck at the bottom are always stuck there and the one's people are biased with/related to on top 😆 Rate on something other than acting and sex appeal. Maybe on personal closeness/likability, popularity, potential, fashion sense, script choices, or even stuff like who is the cleverest, most involved in their films, order of who you'd like to work with, rank performances in particular films from the year, etc. Each with a different group of people as options. It'd say a lot more about behind the scenes or even just professional dynamics, make for a wider scope than current for different people to be mentioned. One of the reasons why many people are so 🥱 about the episodes is because Karan's questions don't change or really bring anything new or of substance to the table, especially after people have learned the ropes of how to answer or their allegiances in the industry are well-known.

but do you really think it's because she was a bigger star then and not as big now? And, if we were to think it's all because of his bitterness towards Priyanka then I'm sure he was bitter towards her then as well since it was post DP and his breakup.

Yeah the ranking didn't change except for PC's placement. 😆 It can't be just bitterness because of what you just said..he had already had the bad breakup at this point...yeah it could be because she was a bigger star, one he was working with too, so he wouldn't want to irritate her right? Now he has plenty of other options and she's not as important now...weirdly I thought they got along better on Barfi sets than that other movie they did. 😆

No problem with ranking PC low. Some overrate a role or BO numbers way too much.

Because DP is smart and praised him, remained diplomatic, took back her comments, etc. as she wanted to continue having working opportunities with the best in the younger lot. Sonam doesn't give a flying toss about working with him 😆 So she never tried to be nice and always just said how she felt. Oh well. Who knows if the status quo would be any different if she was nice? So maybe it's better to go with how you feel 😆

Agree, they looked superb in Saawariya. Sonam especially looked like a vision in that movie.

About Sonam and Ranbir...they just don't get along. I don't think they faked Saawariya promotions, think they genuinely got along...but things changed post that. Ranbir started dating Deepika and it became hard. Post the KWK episode, things just became even worse. Most of all, the casanova's ego was majorly hurt since she said he wasn't sexy at all. On top of that she absolutely refused to apologize and asked him to apologize instead. I mean, as recently as a few months back, Sonam said...I didn't say anything wrong, he said the same thing and I got in trouble instead.

She did not bend backwards to stroke his ego. ...and his relationship (if there was one) with her was never public like it was with Deepika. Plus she's simply not as popular so he doesn't even have to worry about alienating any fans or anything.

I doubt they will ever make up. Maybe when they're older and more mature. 😆

KWK rating criteria is so contrived and makes it pretty obvious, that it changes with every guest who comes on the show! It is definitely discussed beforehand with the guests and agreed upon.

Only that can explain, why Karan never even mentions Anushka or Sonam's name when questioning Salman about his fav new-gen actress but takes their name when asking Ranveer...because one is a future co-star and the other has a history with him!😆

It should not be so...if you are asking two actors who in their opinion is a better actress...then the list should remain the same both times! Doesn't matter if Salman hasn't worked with Anushka or Sonam...he doesn't have to work with them to have an opinion on their acting abilities.

That is why I am not surprised or outraged at the fact that Ranbir has ranked PC lower than Katrina...this show is not meant for telling the truth or appearing sensible...it is meant to generate TRP's and fill the pages of tabloids...and Ranbir, if anything, has become wiser now, after his last experience with KWK!😆

Also, lets be fair here...he was dissed on KWK by two women, ratted out by one...no reason why he should be gallant towards them! This was obviously a come-back to what happened last season and as long as he doesn't harp about being honest and truthful about his choices, all is well!

To balance the PC vs Katrina choice, he has ranked Anushka second on his list, above Katrina...which gives a touch of genuiness to the whole thing. Thank God for that!😆I would have indeed starting doubting Ranbir's thought process if he had rated Katrina above Anushka.

PS: Now if he come on a show like TFR (Anupama Chopra) or Masand and then says that Katrina is indeed a better actress than Priyanka, I will seriously start believing that he is either very scared of his girlfriend or hopelessly in love with her or both!😆
