Krrish 3 despite flying off to a mesmeric start at the domestic box office, could only accumulate 18.90 croresat the domestic box office on its opening day. And though undoubtedly the film's performance is fabulous, it still failed to beat the record of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which despite being a normal Friday release with no festivity to bank on made a humongous earn of 19.45 crores on Day 1.

While the Krrish franchise is quite a hit with the younger section of the audiences, a candyfloss surreal romance like YJHD could squeeze out a better response from the larger section of the audience as compared to a superhero flick! Though the reason for this mainly would be that the festivities and family gatherings is stealing the thunder away from the film. But on its second day, the film will show a swell in the income because it will finally enjoy a full blown holiday that will provide a greater scope for it to fare well.
