This is not a bashing thread, just trying to get a clarification on something. I know the expectations are monstrous for Krrish 3, and all the hoopla for Youtube views, which in my opinion doesnt mean much because those views dont exactly result in money for the movie. Case in point Why This Kolaveri Di, song had more than 70 million views, movie was barely a hit I believe.
The VFX, in my opinion, are extremely weak in the film, even more than Ra.Ones and Enthirans. In 2013, there are quite a few Hollywood movies such as the Batmans, the Supermans, Wolverines, Avengers, etc that do very well in India. The aam janta at times prefer to watch these films more than our own Hindi films at times when these Hollywood films are released. Krrish 3 doesnt hold any water to any of these superhero films. I know that the budget of Krrish 3 is much, much, much lower than any of these Hollywood films so it cant compete, but then whats the point of making a product which is much below average what the public is accustomed to seeing. People even raised a hell at Ra.Ones VFX saying it paled much badly in comparison to Hollywood.
Also, what makes everyone believe itll do as well as crossing 3 Idiots record, which could very well be taken down by Chennai Express. Wasnt Ra.One supposed to do the same, but barely did half the business of 3 Idiots. Now I dont believe Krrish 3 will do that badly considering its a franchise, but still...a lot depends on the story, screenplay, the direction, and the music. Also, Diwali release hasnt proven to be as big as Eid or Christmas for the past few years.
Once again, Im not trying to bash Krrish 3, it looks...somewhat interesting but the VFX is cringeworthy. If someone would like to do a healthy debate against it, Im more than willing to listen to see what they can retort with.
