Definitely she is worth it!

Earlier I thought of her as only a prop in masala films. But now after SOS and especially Lootera I think she is versatile and talented!

She doesn't resort to screaming or giggling mindlessly or jumping around like a kangaroo while playing a bindaas girl.

She was brilliant in her sensitive, nuanced performance in Lootera!

She is the only heroine who is comfortable in her skin and has a desi, Indian appeal without resorting to exposing or jiggling her boobs into the camera!

Sonakshi has talent, is improving with every film, has potential for versatility, has an understated charm, a true blue desi appeal without trying hard or copying exact look of yesteryear heroines, she is decent and never vulgar in the way she dresses or carries herself. She does have a good screen presence, clear voice, good diction and dialogue delivery. She may not be a supermodel type but has a certain understanding of her craft. She seems to be working towards achieving command in her craft as well.

She is not getting films just due to her surname. Many like Twinkle Khanna types came and went away.

Sonakshi blends innocence and strength very well with her eyes, voice and demeanour. Like a typical Indian woman.

It is her rootedness that appeals to people.

She never relied on affairs, scandals with men or horrendous makeovers to get attention. Her public persona is also controlled and never "in your face".

Even Madhuri Dixit had called her a promising newcomer and said she emotes very well with her eyes. And I also agree, Sonakshi uses her eyes well.

Definitely she is worth all the films she is getting. In fact she deserves more than what some other plastic mannequins are getting!

You cant use other stars as an example to my statement. Are all PC fans plastic? No. Are all Salman fans criminals? No. How can you compare those things which are so specific to the stars to something like weight. Theres lots of fat people in the world. OR are we going to pretend that everyone is in good shape?
