How much does the public care about box office?

After witnessing the box office fights between SK and RK fans in this forum, I thought of sharing a personal experience with everyone.

I was in India during the time Ek Tha Tiger released. In the TV they were showing the movie' s success celebrations. The lady who helps us in household chores happened to be there at that time. She doesnt understand Hindi or English and she asked us whats happening. We explained that one actor's movie made so much money and people are celebrating. She replied with a straight face ''Rich are becoming richer and these poor people are celebrating or what? Tell that actor to pay for my weekly groceries. I will also clap for him then!''😆 I found it extremely funny, its very true rather.

So what do you think? How many people around you are affected by the no. of zeroes these actors and their movies are adding up to the box office? Also please share if you have had any experiences similar to mine.

You are mixing 2 things out here... Fans who care for Star's Box Office & Fight online so much may also be going through same kind of financial crisis as in your post that lady is going through.

Just because she was going through a rough patch n ask a star to do some charity for her doesn't mean that BO Figures Shouldn't matter this much. Even we can pick from her life, some example on which we can also make such kind of remarks.

You made a post mocking on Fights going on in this forum as they are useless, public doesn't give a damn, but those who do give Importance are from Same Public.

No. Iam not mocking anyone here. I myself belong to the same public who spends money and go to the theater and enjoy movies. And I dont belong to any royal family to claim that I have enough money to waste. So I dont have any right to mock movie going audience. I just shared my experience with an illiterate poor lady and her reaction to movies and the money the movies make.

okay frankly nobody should care cuz the fans dont get anything...but there are some fans...dont know why but for them the favourite star's success is like their success...lame according to me..

This is a Bollywood Forum, No body would have bothered to come in this forum if it wasn't for FANS. This forum was made for fans who like their celebs, & will discuss about them.
