Aditya Chopra resume:

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge- All Time Blockbuster

Mohabbatein- Super Hit

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi- Blockbuster

Sooraj Bharjatya resume:

Maine Pyaar Kiya- All Time Blockbuster

Hum Aapke Hai Kaun- All Time Blockbuster

Hum Saath Saath Hai- Super Hit

Maine Prem Ki Diwani Hoon- Flop

Vivaah- Blockbuster

Both have done romantic genre movies only, both have a string of successful films, Bharjatya has one blemish otherwise an outstanding resume. Who's the better director and why?

Ab mera username Rani jo hain...Of course I have to say Aditya warna woh bura man jaayenga. 🤣

On a serious note I chose Adi. I LOVED Mohbaatien and DDLJ. RNBDJ was average.

But I love SB's family related movies: HAHK and HSSH were amazing movies. He is a fabulous director.

Def a tough choice.

They are both completely out of touch with the times as directors. Dunno who to pick.

😆One was inspired by the other

Of course Aditya Chopra ia capable director I have to go with SB purely on the fact that Adi was a SB fanboy himself 😆

Although the overload of saccharine sweetness and unreal familial relationships can be overwhelming in Barjatya films, the sincerity with which SB depicts those relationships is heart warming. Of course this generalization does not apply to Main Prem ki Diwani hoon which is why it rightfully bombed. Despite the utopian beliefs, one finds no pretense in a Barjatya film which is unlike Aditya Chopra's films where wannabe western values and silly NRI gimmicks are the order of the day. Thus, I'll pick Barjatya.
