Ritesh Deshmukh's cameo in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna has been completely chopped off

Ritesh Deshmukh's dream break to date, in Karan Johar's eagerly awaited Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, will remain just that. A dream. Unfortunately for the actor, his cameo in the film has been left back on the editing table.
Cameos have become synonymous with Karan Johar's films. This time, Kajol, John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh, etc played cameos. However the cameos of the other three have been retained while Ritesh's has been chopped off.
A source close to Karan Johar informs, "Yes, unfortunately his scene had to be deleted from the film in order to keep the length of the film under control. Karan did not want to remove the scene as Ritesh is a close friend, but he had no choice. But I am sure Ritesh will have no problem as it was just a cameo and not really important to the storyline."
While Ritesh Deshmukh remained unavailable for comment, Arjun Rampal who plays a cameo in the film too, says, "I had great fun shooting with Karan. I think Karan is kind of a filmmaker who spoils his actors and I was really treated very well on the sets. Dharma Productions is great and I think the amount of time and money that Karan spends on his film is amazing. It felt good to be part of Karan's film although it was a walk-on part. And, despite the length of the role, I got to shoot at different locations. I am happy that Karan thought of me for this particular cameo in the film."
According to Arjun, he has worn some outstanding clothes in the movie. "Shot for five days in New York with the unit at various locations in the city," he adds. Incidentally, John Abraham plays a DJ in the film while Kajol features in a song in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
