Boys should be locked at home post 9 pm: Prachi Desai

Boys should be locked at home post 9 pm: Prachi Desai

Prachi Desai believes that education plays an important role in decreasing the crime rate of rape in the country. However, she claims that guys should be locked at home and not girls.

On being asked about her opinion of the current situation in the country and the Delhi rape casewhich took the entire country by storm, Prachi claimed that boys should change. "Education plays a very important role and upbringing is also an important thing to stop rapes in India," she said.

"I guess the more restrictions you have we tend to do such things. I am shocked that the rapistswere aware that they will be punished for the crime and yet they did it. How can you be so cruel and forget humanity," she added.

While emphasizing on the education in the country, she said, "I don't think someone well educated will do something like this. Everybody needs to be educated in the country."

"The way girls are seen when they go out in India and in abroad, there is lot of difference. I think not girls, but boys should be locked at home after 9 pm till the time they promise to improve as humans," concluded the actress.

While education is important and changes peoples perspective of life, I highly doubt it will deter guys from raping
.. 🥱

I honestly don't know how India can combat its sexual crimes, a lot has to change to fix this, ie education, awareness, enforcement of laws and few other things.

Education and class doesn't change the sick mentality

As Anoushka Shankar said recently she was sexually abused by a family member...whom I am sure is rich and educated...but still did the hideous act

So Prachi's argument is invalid

Don't think Education can change the mind of a psychopath. Maybe there should just be an evaluation of kids psych in schools wherein if a student is showing some signs of mental psychological problem, its treated before it gets out of hand.

I don't agree with her.Even educated men rape.Best example is the Ruchika Girhotra case.
Locking men home after 9pm is also not the solution because rapes can happen at any time before 9pm too.
Good upbringing might help.Men should be taught to respect women and not look at them as sexual objects.

In a country where the physically sick hardly get the proper treatment, i highly doubt they will take care of their mentally sick. No parent wants to hear that their child has 'mental/psychological' issues, especially not so in India. It's a shame to say the least.

Maybe all the Indian parents need to teach their kids to respect women first. how about the parents in India start that first?

Its the same everywhere, not just in India. No parent wants to hear bad things about their kids. I read a very sad article about the mother of Sandy Hook shooter. But maybe if the govt makes it mandatory for every graduating student to have them evaluated before they can enter college, maybe the crime rate will decrease.

So according to Prachi rapes happen only post 9pm and only uneducated rape.😡 Men rape because they associate power with it--as long as they don't understand that women and men are equal they'll continue to rape and locking people won't do anything.
