Maybe some people really don't think such scenes are a big deal, while some do. At the end of the day it's an opinion that comes down to each person's sensibilities. It doesn't make one right or wrong. Have you seen French films? Emraan Hashmi films like Murder are like 'G' rated movies there...ie for kids. But in India, it's a big deal. Doesn't mean French folks are wrong while Indians are right or anything.
As for Kal El, so what if he thinks it's a classic or the trashiest film ever. It's his opinion.
You make it sound like he was into prostitution or murdered someone for money! It was an art film, big deal. Why he chose to do it only he knows...maybe he did for money, maybe he didn't think much of it..maybe he thought it was interesting..who knows? It's not that big a deal honestly. Did it hurt anyone? It's not like he forced people to watch the film or appreciate him or anything.
