I think its because he is an underdog and not one of the khans. We all know Khans hype themselves up like no other esp SRK and Amir.

I also feel like Emraan doesn't promote himself too much like the khans...like his PR doesn't talk too much about his success...he lets his work speak for itself (i think this is worded weird)...does that make sense? 😕

1) His movies don't do big business in A centres. Sex is a big hit in B and C centres, not as much in the Big cities.

2) His films never do huge business(70 Cr+). They reach safety because of low budgets.

3) His only hits are from the Bhatt camp which run more on sex, brand power(1,2,3) rather than star power.

When he has tried doing something different or worked with a different banner he's usually fallen flat, which is why Banner's are wary of working with him.

Also other than TDP and to an extent OUATIM none of his films set overseas box office on fire.

He is known in overseas but his films do not open big and some do not even open 😲😲
