Yea Vidya is only one though...all his life he was shunned by big actresses as he wasnt their level...n yes Sonam doesn't have the international appeal...bt mayb that is the role...we don't know what's the story or anything yet

All I m saying is if she is being considered its purely on basis of role not stardom...cz den Danis would have picked Khns or Ranbir...not emraan

Only thing I m happy is dat IF sonam does this film...she will get a new experience n hopefully Tanovic can get her acting chops together...I mean as I have heard he really pushes his actors to their max...so even if the movie becomes a flop she will gain some acting experience atleast

Btw I would have loved it if they picked Frieda Pinto for it 😃

Umm, well perhaps not today. But this is Bollywood, one Friday, one hit, one good film can change everything. I actually don't think she's that bad an actress, better than Katrina for sure. Her dialogue delivery needs a lot of work though.

Sonam, I always felt, was
a) born in the wrong era...she has a classic Indian princess face that would have done wonders back in the 1950's-1960's...in fact, she's easily the most beautiful heroine today...but in today's times, it's all about hot hot hot..and sexy, and like Imran had said, it's weird to think of Sonam as sexy since there's something very classic about her. Sonam suits those very "desi" films like Delhi 6, Mausam, Saawariya very well, but the kind of films that work nowadays don't really belong to that genre unfortunately for her...and all those films ended up being flawed...she'll look so out of place in the masala films working today or the mutistarrers where she just has to look hot..(we saw what a disaster Players was)..

b) more into modelling/fashion than films, which is fine..but then she must make a choice as to what she wants to do.
