Film fare is hardly an awards that is given on merit...

You see so many great performances in parallel cinema get sidelined...it is insane!!!

paresh rawal 😲 i would be surprised if he even gets nomination 😆 and by the way salman also got snubbed in SRK''s playground zee cine awards ! But who cares he won screen award which in my pov is the only unbiased award function 😛

You don't have to agree with me. But Chulbul Pandey's character he become one of the most iconic characters of recent times. You can disagree with it but can't deny the truth. The fact is what Salman pulled in Dabangg, no other actors could fit the shoes of that character. Dabangg's most plus side was Salman's role. It was also termed as role of a Lifetime. Infact, Salman won majority of awards that year besides the most typical ones - Zee Cine, Iifa and our all mighty Filmfare!

i dont have hopes abt emraan but irrfan might get it since he worked with YRF 😆 but i think it will eventually might go to ranbir as critics are constantly chirping abt how he is the next 'big' thing 😆

^^ really? coz bebo won the star screen best actress for omkara whereas kajol in fanaa was the more popular performance (and kajol was awarded in filmfare whereas bebo got best actress critics for Omkara)...

filmfare tries to give the "good performances" critics awards and reserve the rigging for the popular awards...

if popularity was the case, then salman should have swept all the awards for Dabangg...im sure filmfare does some manouvering to give the awards to their favourites in the popular cateogry...
