Shahrukh Khan's movie with Rohit Shetty, Chennai Express, was originally slated for an Eid release. However, SRK decided to defer the release after it became clear that the movie would clash with Salman's 2013 Eid release. Industry analysts were relieved by SRK's wise decision to avoid a battle that would hurt the industry as a whole.
It seems SRK's Chennai Express will now clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela. This is not the first time SRK and SLB's movies have been released on the same date. Om Shanti Om's success played a big role in Saawariya's poor show at the box office. Both movies were 2007 Diwali releases.
Mid-Day reports that the two movies are now set to clash in Dussehra 2013. Will SRK defer the date again? Or should Sanjay learn from past experience and avoid clashing with a SRK release again?
