Actually, the thing is...many actors have a career-defining famous role...A name that gets stuck with them...so that when someone says that name with reference to Bollywood, universally people immediately know who they are talking about...

For example,
SRK- Raj/Rahul
Kajol- Simran/Anjali
Hema Malini- Basanti
Salman Khan- Prem
Kareena Kapoor- Geet
Madhuri Dixit --Nisha
Sridevi-- Chandni
Amjad Khan --Gabbar Singh
Amrish Puri -- Mogambo

etc...

Katrina's most famous name with reference to films is Sheila and then Chikni Chameli. The aam junta who is not a hardcore fan of hers will not recognize her for Jenny or Jasmeet, but for Sheila or Chameli.

I'm talking about the general audience. Sheila Ki Javaani came out 2 years ago and she's still called Sheila (now being replaced with Chikni Chameli). Sheila Ki Javaani is the most memorable and the biggest highlight of her career. Second would be Chikni Chameli. Which is okay, she totally rocks as an item girl.

General audience refers to her as jasmeet and jenny you should watch some of the meet and greet videos for example. She is a household name especially kids love her fun and bubbly roles.
